Greece has been through almost a decade of economic turmoil, with an unimaginably destructive effect on it’s capital. The City of Athens needed a rebrand which celebrated the resilience, determination and vibrancy of the people that live within the historic city. While also creating an increase in tourism, both domestic and foreign. A city where classical and modern exist side by side.
The 3 line graphic elements were inspired by the quintessentially Athenian cafe awnings. These cafes are a theatre for discussions and debates, it's where locals meet daily. They are also key visual motifs for tourist areas in the city.
